Warning:

The floating marker light covered in this manual is intended to aid in the recovery of survival victim(s). Equipment training, including continued proficiency reviews and maintenance, is vital to the proper and safe use of the floating marker light. It is the responsibility of the purchasing and end-user organization or individual to define the operational procedures and safety guidelines associated with the proper utilization, maintenance (including service life) and storage of the device. All individuals must be thoroughly trained and familiarized with the intended purpose, correct use and function of the equipment.

General:

The floating marker light has been tested and meets the requirements of ANSI/UL 1196. The device is a flashing strobe light designed to be thrown overboard in the event of an emergency. It will automatically right itself and begin flashing (60 flashes/min) to help aid in the recovery of survival victim(s). It must be installed in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard Regulations.

Installation:

1. Mount the floating marker light bracket to an area best suited for access to a life ring.

Note: Light is shown mounted inside stowage rack. It may be mounted outside the ring buoy is space allows.

2. Use the existing hardware or new hardware provided in the box to mount bracket.

3. Attach the floating marker light to the life ring using the auxiliary clip and place in bracket with the lens down (as shown below)
