LSC’s Osprey System Now FAA Certified: TSO-C13G

LSC’s  list of  FAA Approved flight equipment continues to grow with the Osprey System finally receiving approval under TSO-C13G.  The Osprey System required just three changes from it’s original design to meet the approval; a change in oral inflation tubes, the position of the beaded inflation lanyard, and the addition of our FAA Certified #640-LRS, Water-Activated Strobe Light (Stored inside the packed vest.)

The Osprey yoke-type bladder design – the original patented design for the Air Warrior and SAR Warrior military aircrew vests – when packed as originally intended, compacts to just 6 MM across the wearers shoulder providing maximum clearance for those wearing flight helmets.   The Osprey system is light and comfortable and while providing 70 lbs. of buoyancy.

The vest is equipped with leg straps, MOLLE/PALS rails, and corrosion resistent hardware.  The bladder clips easily a=on and off of the vest using LSC’s stainless steel Mini-Buckle system for ease of maintenance and cleaning.
